My albino margies are on a coir substrate and often they just munch away at it and ignore their food, next day their poo is pure coir you can just crumble it away. Any others do this? Val

My margies sometimes eat the coir. lovely brown poo! doesn't seem to do them any harm.

It's perfectly normal, it helps them digest their food, they also eat their own poo with it, to redigest it, you'll notice some faeces is brightly coloured as the food has barely been digested. It seems to be a two stage process.
