Anybody else noticed the weird behavour of the NWE-limicolaria-species from Nigeria from October?
During the day, they are laying on their "back", less or more retracted and play "dead snail". At night they are up and around and active and eat loads on various food. First I thought, that was from the transport, but hasn´t changed at all yet.
Next thing are their eggs. They get laid at a size of 1 to 1,5 mm and are soft. Within a week they double their size and get hard. Never have noticed that on my other Limicolaria´s from Guinea-Bisseau. The eggs of the Nigerian species are fertile (opened one).
Are just mine doing this?

All mine like to play dead every single day. It's been 2 weeks since I got them now but they still like to act DEAD. During the day time, their only show their apex out from the substrate. 2 of them have laid some eggs for me in the weekend, but there are only a few eggs in each batch and they are not soft at all. Not too sure if they are fertile or not though. The limis I have are in various colours. The dark shell one has a lighter body and the lighter shell ones have darker body. Sorry I still have no chance to take pics of them all as they tend not to come out whenever I pick them up.

Oh, good to hear, yours are the same!
Mine laid this 2 batches of eggs the day after they arrived here. Maybe they just laid them too early and they hadn´t had a chance to harden in them. One batch has around 10 eggs.
Your light ones are looking nice! Andreas Leiss told me, that this nigerian species of Limicolaria is very variable in size, shell-colour and patterns (from almost black stripes to no stripes at all) and body colour can too vary from almost black up to creamy with almost not visible stripes. Thats why Sarah had in her captative bred babies stripeless ones and stripey ones.
