I got a new large (adult), wild caught Achatina fulica a couple weeks ago and put it in a separate tank from the rest of my adult and kid fulicas. They're all wild caught from my neighbors house, but have been in captivity for months already?
When and how do I know when he is ok to join the rest? Also for another 3 I got last night from the same place as this one?

If they've been living normally in a separate tank for a couple weeks and you haven't seen anything wrong with them, then it should be okay to put them in with the rest.

Yeah, a lonely snail could be lazy.
Look for mites or other parasites on the snail in quarantine. Also see that he feeds normally (greedy, sits for ages eating), poops normally (long strings of poo, no traces of intestine parasites) and has no weird skin problems. That kind of things are what you should look for before letting the new snail meet the others. Also observe the first meeting as some wild caught snails are angry.

Well I also got a couple more from the same spot and have them in the quarantine too and one of them retracts quite deeply and it's weird. My others never fully retract past their shell opening, so I couldn't compare. But that's not contagious right? And the parasites. I've read a lot about the mites and I don't know if what I have are mites or not. I have 2, one is the small thin white fast moving ones, but they do spring away or jump in place so does that guarantee they are springtails? The other, I was more afraid of. It's a reddish or orange-ish brown and has 2 antennae and 6 legs, which are all long enough to be noticed around the body despite the small size. The body us a lot more round and bulbous than the white bugs and im quite certain they don't jump, I've only seen them crawl and even when I've tried to catch them or crush them. However, both of these bugs, I have never seen crawling in or around the snails pneumostome or on their bodies at all. Only very rarely on their shells but I think that's a coincidence. I mean like I've seen them on the tank walls just as much as on the snails shells. I haven't been able to determine for sure which either of these are. However I found both also in my B. similaris tank and my baby frogs tank. Any thoughts?
