My new WC Immacs are sleeping outside their shells - If that makes sense. They have their eyes out and foot out but are definitely in dreamland.
Do anyone elses snails do this? They hardly ever retract into their shells. Other than that they seem really content. Eating loads and flashing their bits ;D

My H. aspersa sleeps like that while sitting on her cuttle sometimes. During most days, though, she rolls herself up in a clump of sphagnum moss and retracts.

Ta Both - They seem happy just dont retract.
I will experiment with the humidity and see if it makes any difference.

My Jade snails sleep like that. In fact, I don't think they have ever retracted inside their shells that I have seen, they are always at least a little ways out. maybe they are just too fat to fit.

Mine have started doing it recently, even more oddly they sleep half retracted sometimes!

Only one of my snails started to sleep outside of its shell. His name is Snubby and he is also the oldest of the snails. Don't know if age has anything to do with this though.
