my 2 snails, big mama and runt are mother and son. is it normal 4 them to always follow each other everywhere, all the time? they have never done this before, but i have been noticing that something is wrong...any ideas?

Snails can detect each other via their slime trails and it is suspected that simple messages can be conveyed this way. It is believed that this chemo-messaging is mostly used to attract a mate. Snails aren't fussy about inbreeding so this could be what is happening.
