Hi all, and Hi all molluscs!!!! I have a pair of jade snails and some albino retics as well as normal fulicas and some other species, and I'm starting to think that my albinos regardless of species are much more shy than the normal colours, has anyone else noticed this or have i just got very shy albinos? ;D if it is true could be because they in some instinctive way know that they would be less likely to survive (as they are more noticeable) in the wild or just a colour gene link? what do you think?? Hi! I've also got a pair of Jades, who are extremely shy, plus a pair of Ire's, they are also extremely shy and if left undisturbed will retract really far back into their shells!! I get so worried that I bathe them and put them on cucumber to entice them out, but on the other hand, I have a pair of Albino Reti's, and they are the liveliest snails ever... they are always sliming around, have grown massively and never stop eating! Even when I pick them up they dont retract, they are lovely. X

Well I have some jades and they are very friendly, never retract and if I pick them up come out straight away, my albino retis are the same and also my albino margies, so I think probably it has nothing to do with their colour but just the way they are.

Hmmm my jades are all very bold and not shy at all - different snails have different characters I think.
