It's my second day of having little Gary, my new GALS. I'm already worried! For some reason he hasn't eaten all day? I have plenty of soil, cuttle fish, banana and cucumber on the base, Also, I have sprayed the tank with water. But for some strange reason he's not eating and tends to climb on the side of the tank, stay in one spot, and stare at me. I know it's not sleeping as it's eyes move, slowly moves his head at me.
What could be the problem?

Hi Andrew, can you give us a few more details, what substrate (soil) are you using? what is the temp in the tank or is it in a nice warm room?

Well, I'm using plain soil, without nutrients, and it's in a tank without a heater because we have central heating on.

Is this the same as what your Auntie was using? sometimes a change of environment makes them act a bit differently, he will need a bit of time to settle down. Is the tank humid?

Yes, I bought the same, so we have plenty of it.

Don't worry too much I am sure he will be fine, he will need a bit of time to settle into his new home.

i tend to find that my two margies eat through out the night and ignore food during the day, saying that they only arrived yesturday lol. but they ignored there food yesturday then spent the whole night eating and are now having a well earned snooze. all that stuffing wore them out lol.
