I found four garden snails today and I have popped them in a tank nice and large for them with native soil, a dandelion plant, a cuttlefish, grape, carrot and a warm, soaked dog biscuit. They're shy though - I've tried bathing, holding, leaving in a shallow dish of luke warm water, running their shells under the water, but all of my attempts are to no avail. I hope they're okay. They don't seem to have gone into hibernation or anything, they don't have membranes over their shells. All apart from one are at the edge of their shells, one is a little further in. Anyone got an advice?

One of four snails (the most unusual one!) has come out. She's soo pretty! Her body is brown and she has one pale cream stripe down the centre of her back. Her shell is a blonde colour. Anyone have any idea what breed she might be?

Have you tried cucumber? My aspersas love cucumber more than anything.
Does the blonde-shelled one have any stripes on the shell?

I'm going to get some cucumber ASAP I've added some apple too. The blonde snail seems to have a mixture of very thin grey and blonde stripes. Does that help? Thanks
