well one of my big snails was on top of the little one and i thought that he would brake the little snails shell so i let the little one crawl on my hand to freedom but when he got free half of his shell broke off what do i do

maybe doo what i have done with one of mine & pop him in isolation - mine was coz i dropped him (cry) BUT part of his shell came away too so there he will stay for a week or so BUT he is FINE eating & stuff hope your snailie is ok soon

have you still got the shell that broke off? if you put it in with him in iso ( best thing to do) he might eat it and use the calcium to rebuild the shell. Or if its intact it might be possible to do a repair, how big is the snail? Unfortunatly this is why i won't put small snails with big ones.

Given plenty of cuttlefish he may well regrow the broken shell. It is best to keep small snails and large snails in separate tanks.

I have to agree with "thesnailsanctuary" you should really keep the big snails apart from the babies because things like that could happen. but the best thing to do is to put him in isolation (as everybody has already said) and let him heal. give him lots of food and keep him moist. hope he feels better.
