Hi, I recently went on holiday to cornwall, had loads of fun, and when at tintagel on the way to the castle veiwpoint, stopped to admire the big cornish slate wall, then i noticed it was practically exploding with capea hortensis! I hav'nt seen a wild one in over a year, and i counted 47! i could'nt believe it, i've been to york, london, kent, all over but this is the first time in ages i've seen one, i brought three home, as while i was there a little brat saw what i was doing and stamped on them, so i've fixed their shells ( i got all the peices ) and after three weeks they are doing ok, ( thank god ). anyway i was wondering if anyone else has seen this ( or any wild ones )

hmm, tempting, instead i made him run away crying to his mum about the scary crazy lady cos i had a rant at him. Then his mum asked ( she was v. nice about it ) why i was preaching to her son, then when i told her SHE had a go at him, guess what, turns out shes a snail lover to . She then made him apologise to me AND the snails, then he had to stand there for half an hour and listen to us discuss how rare different snail species are while she helped me sort out the snails. now of course, the castle idea is brill ( wish i'd thought of it ) but thats what i call irony ;D . btw the snails are doing fine.
