I just wonder how Cornu aspersum or any other snails species can survive without food for periods of time.
Because sometimes they don't eat what I have given them and sometimes I might not have what they can eat. Also, I could be away for a day from the house and be with my fiance for example or anything in general. I know they can be usually slow eaters.
Other question which is not about the topic.
Is cold food okay to give them? Like straight out from the fridge?
Also how long can a tank keep it's moist, I have good soil, it's called "Sedge Peat" and to me, it can do the holding of moist. Just wondering because I usually am out of the house for 4 hours or at least 7-9 hours before it gets dark. It depends. I told my mum if she can spray just a bit but since she has RA, her grip isn't so good and she said she might accidentally drop the spray bottle on top of one of them. Don't want that to happen!

They are animals with their own set of survival skills. You definitely do not need to feed them everyday, or spray them. It's optimal, but not required. They will just seal against the sides of their enclosure and sleep until conditions are favorable again. That's what happens in the wild. If it's not been raining for a while then they're all hiding and sleeping sealed with a mucus lining against a hard surface.
You could even feed your C. aspersum a good meal and then leave them alone for two weeks without worrying about them. Most common snails are like that.
Feel free to pull vegetables out of the fridge, wash them, and toss it in. It will get to room temperature eventually anyways.
Maintaining high humidity is only necessary if you have some picky tropical species (but there's actually set ups you can do for those so you wouldn't even need to spray often anyways). I have screen lids on my terrariums of garden snails and have gotten into a habit of not spraying every night. Again, they will just slightly seal themselves to the terrarium and wait for "the rain". If you just spray them once a day before you go to sleep they will be happy.

I can do that but it does make sense what you are saying. Leave them for 2 weeks? So how will I know if they get hungry or so? I don't mind preparing their meals once the one they have eaten is finished in the food dish. At the moment, the potatoes I have given them is nearly finished, so I will guess I'll change it once it's really gone? (I guess I will also spray when I think the tank is dry or near to be dried but try and not disturb them with the spray)

Guess all the information I got from youtube about how to care for snails is wrong? It might be. After all, people can say pretty much anything they want in their youtube videos.

If I don't have to feed them everyday or so, how do I know they will get hungry? Because they don't speak out like my cats do when they want food. It's not like I'm going to not feed the snails but it's helpful to know and learn.

As long as they get something to eat every few days they will be fine. I coordinate feeding with my spraying though, since if it's dry they will sleep and not be as hungry as if it's wet they'd be walking around looking for food.
