My grandmother always visits on Tuesdays to work in our garden. I have earlier described her as a woman who doesn't like snails at all, and usually steps on them on sight as she doesn't want them eating her plants. There was this time when my dog had found a snail. She was looking at it, sniffing it, trying to figure out what it was. Then my grandmother came, looked at the snail, then at my dog and asked the dog; "How is your snail doing dog?". And right after that she stepped on it with a burning hatred xD It was both funny and very very sad. So this morning when I was in the kitchen to make breakfast, she came to me saying she had collected some nice snails for me. She had apparently found a few big H. aspersa and a bunch of babies which she had saved to show me. I was rather positively surprised, as I would never expect my grandmother to be nice about snails. Apparently my mom had talked to her about how I like snails quite a bunch and she just went with that and seems to have a bit of a change of heart. So yeah, just wanted to share that

"Stepped on it with a burning hatred" Yes, you're right: funny, but also deeply sad. I'm glad you and your mom managed to turn her around (slightly)
