I was on Ebay and this was shown in the recommended for you section. I looked at the pictures and I'm pretty sure these are Arachatina marginata. It doesn't tell anything about them, not even the species! The location is Brooklyn, New York. The snails are still young so it looks like they've been breeding them. It's pretty upsetting to see something like this.

It's pretty upsetting to see something like this. The best thing to do is to report the listing to eBay or get in contact with their customer service to let them know it's an illegal advert. Unfortunately as I'm registered on the UK eBay site they make it very difficult for me to do this but it should be easy with a US eBay account. If this person is really in the US mailing GALS then they will be caught sooner or later. In 2014 the USDA seized giant African land snails from people in New York, Indiana, and Pennsylvania after getting a tip-off through social media and traced them all back to a seller in Georgia, who had all their snails seized and was no doubt prosecuted. If someone in the US is selling them on eBay it would be VERY easy for the USDA to track them down, as well as anyone who's bought from them.

That person is no longer selling the snails so I assume someone reported them.
