Beer?

I know it is no secret that snails are attracted to beer. But is it actually good for them in anyway? And do any of you give it to your lil pals?
I ask because after cleaning up after a bit of a NYE bash, I had an array of cans with just a mouthful of beer at the bottom and thought, "I wonder if I'm wasting this when I could be using it..."

It's not really "good" for them, it's just an attractant. Useful to put on food to get picky snails to start eating, but other than that I don't see a reason to use it.

Im no snail expert, ive only had snails for a little over 2 weeks. However from what I've found they're attracted to the yeast in the beer and it is ok for them in small amounts (ie. a drop)
