Was feeding the lignus earlier and noticed that the eggs that were laid hatched. There're 3 babies lignus right now on the moss, they are all around the other eggs that have not yet hatched. I am still optimistic with other eggs as the eggs were only laid 2 weeks ago. And the other eggs have crack lines on them, so hopefully there will be more babies too.
The problem is, I only just introuduced 5 more lignus into the tank. Eric offered me his and I just received them yesterday, I have already put them in the tank since I did not think there would be any health problems when they have been living with Eric for sometimes. So what do I have to do from now? Do I take the baby lignus out or just leave them where they are? (It is very hard to find them in between moss tbh.) The babies are very tiny, although lignus usually just hang around on the lid, the wall of the tank or on the tree branches. Will they disturb the babies? I hope Gabi might help me with this as she has baby lignus before, or anyone who can suggest me anything, would be appreciated. I could not find any left over hatch eggs, so I assume the babies have eaten them already.
*PS 3 eggs down, 8 more to go. Eric, if you are reading this, I have seen the one of the albinos has mated with one of mine last night, so may be you have given me some luck and I will have more eggs. ;D

;D Yes, in fact I was not hopeful until I saw them earlier. They are so cute, very very tiny. The body is almost transparent. (I will try to take pics in the weekend, but it will be hard to get the focus right.) I really want to raise them and hopefully they will not die on me. But I think I need to get the fact right.

I think the new ones will be fine. I got 4 from Eric yesterday and just put them into my main lignus tank 10 mins ago. They were very active yesterday, ate no problem (grapes ) and seem healthy. Well done with the babies! My 15 eggs are still not hatched But I just noticed my big batch of zachrysia have started hatching ;D

Brian, I am worrying about the babies. You have said that Eric's are very active. I do not want any damage to the new babies. That's why I ain't too sure if I should leave them in the same tank with the big ones. Well done about another big batch of Zachrysia eggs started to hatch. I can't wait for mine to grow bigger now. ;D

maybe take the adult snails out? and then when all the eggs are hatched, move the babies to a different tank and put the adults back in

If I were in the same situation I would be inclined to take the babies out of the main tank and set up a smaller tank just for them, at least then you might be able to keep an eye on them better and also perhaps monitor how much food has been eaten. I really wish you luck with them, has Gabi got any babies now? Did she manage to raise some, I know she was having difficulties getting them to feed.

Not all died, I have 5 back and those are surviving now since a week without having lost one. But they are not great with eating. I found out, that they love salad, that I wouln´t eat my self anymore, nor would I feed this to any animal. But they like. Those snailies are really weird snails.....
I wish you all the luck on this earth for those little snailies!
Kind regards,
Gabi

Thanks.
I think I will have to set up another tank for the adults to move in. It's just because there are still eggs not being hatched in the tank, I really don't want to disturb them at all, just in case.
Gabi, you said salad, but... all snails eat "salad" anyway, well mine do as I put all the veg & fruits in their tanks, not that they will eat everything, but whatever they don't eat, I just take them all out the next day. So what salad is that you are feeding the babies?

Thats weird, my lignus tank seems to be the only one without the fly problem, and it's the one with a completely mesh top, covered in a towel. maybe it's the lemon trees in there that keep the flies away?

Lignus tank always has little flies in it. It might be better to remove the adults felix. I did it the opposite way & removed the eggs but I kinda gave up at 15. the tank is heavily planted and it is not always easy to find these little eggs. But my lignus never go near the floor of the tank so maybe your babies and eggs will be safe there? If any eggs hatch in my tank I will leave them where they are. Upside of keeping the babies seperate is that you can judge how much they are eating which is the biggest problem with lignus. Good luck! Brian ;D

Brian ;D I rarely have flies in mind tbh, but then I only leave the food in overnight and then take them except the cuttlefish and sweet potatos out in the morning. I put some fruits in at night only. I have taken 5 of the adults out last night but left the adults which laid eggs in the first place. 3 adults in the tank do not look like everything goes mental in the tank I think and I just though the babies might need their parents? The 3 babies were sitting on the cuttlefish this morning but I really could not tell if they start eating or not as the cuttlefish has already being munched. I usually can figure out how much the 3 adults have eaten overnight, so will have to see. Keep fingers crossed that the babies will do fine. I love to see them growing into adulthood. ;D
