Sorry to hear...I lost 3 snails this month. I'm also sad, it's a shame that other people's snails are dying too.

Nope, mine have gone through stages of not eating for over a week (sometimes nearer two), and they still manage to surprise me. But they're not growing, had them since September, and one's still only 2cm (shell). Which is why I asked where theirs came from, perhaps same as mine!

I have gotten this summer 1 year old dimidiatas and they have grown bigger (about 5cm new shellgrowth). All 3 are doing fine but show no signs of wanting to breed and I am not sure if I let breed them because they are from the same batch. So if anybody of you wants to sell me in spring an adult dimidiata please tell me!

Ive been having probelms with my dimidiata too. i found them crawling with mites a few days ago and since ive cleaned them i havent seen anymore and they look great now just a few days later. I brought mine off ebay, cant remember the sellers name but ours might all be from the same person.

Was she selling the babies from parents from Virginia Cheeseman? All of ours (my two and KathyM's one) from VC have failed to thrive and are still very small. They're needing warm baths to wake them up enough to eat, and even then it's a struggle. KathyM's only feeds every 2-3 days at the most and even then it's a tiny amount. Our two have gone nearly a fortnight without food at one point, but they picked up a bit a few days ago, although Sally's gone back downhill, and Gary didn't eat last night.

Mine were from ebay too. The seller was Deluka77. Very helpful and friendly seller, who got their mum to drop my babys round and she lived by me lol. I just searched that name you posted Ian and it is still on there and has been used for over 2 years and 5 months lol. So it hasn't changed. Unless you got yours over 2 years ago? They're still selling snails too, I can see Kevin bought some lol Unless someone copied his username lol. My dimis shells are fine, and as said they are eating and growing, all be it slowley compared to my other snails. But that might just be a dimi thing? They hide a lot more than the others too, but always come out quickly when I wake them up.
