Good morning boys and girls, Daughter #2 is cock-a-hoop that her snail eggs have hatched. I would appreciate some info on this; such as what is the growth rate of baby snails and on caring for the new offspring. thanks in advance and a merry Crimbo to all

I think they are. Is that a problem for me on the horizon? I would like to dispose of some of them but daughter is like a mother hen a the moment. Which makes me ask another question. What do we do with these babies? Regards

It is extremely hard to get rid of fulica babies, eek! How many are there?
As a last resort they could be sent off to Sarah who owns the snail shelter, but it would be wise to give a donation if you do as Sarah is flooded with fulica, and this helps pay for their care.

Number count is quite high I think. How fast do they grow then?

They can become mature in 6 months and start to breed, reaching full size between 1 and 2 years.
Oh and i forgot to say 'Welcome'

If you have any petshops near you that sell inverts, they may take them.

yeah fulica babies arent easy to get rid of without killing them. put a lot of ads around the internet etc (a lot of people sell them on ebay)
baby snails eat a wide range of food so try lettuce cucumber sweetcorn sweet potato green beans etc. they wont be fussy i dont think.
good luck.
