Hi everyone, At home right now, we have an ant invasion. The ants are quite big, and even though I like them, my mother is freaked out and my father keeps killing them when he finds one! Since I've read on ants a lot (and, by the same occasion, know a lot about them), my father wanted me to trick them into eating poisonous food, because they like everything sweet, like fruit, maple syrup, sugar, cake... So, I was looking for poisons. Poor anties! This morning, I remembered that I've read that coffeine is a natural insecticide. Since my father is a big coffee drinker, we have coffee supplies if it's efficient. But before trying it, my mother wanted to know: is it efficient? Because for a time, there'll be even more ants than ever around the sugar paste I've made (no coffee in it yet) and my mom almost has a heart attack when one small ant climb on her. Would coffee kill ( ) the ants? I know I'm weird, but I like ants a lot. The only thing I can kill without feeling like a monster is fly larvae because they can hurt snails. Thanks! seastar
