Hi everyone! About a month ago I brought home three slugs thinking they were all Leopard Slugs, I figured this guy maybe got stepped on or something, but didn't do much research until last week because I just hadn't had the time. Every night when I feed my slugs and remove the old food I've noticed that this little guy's food is always untouched, he has been pooping (dark brown) indicating that he's been feeding off the soil in his habitat but it made me very concerned that that definitely isn't enough to sustain him. So after scouring the internet I learned that he is actually a Philomycus Carolinianus, I read this study regarding fertilization/reproduction www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.bioone.org/doi/pdf/10.1653/024.097.0223&ved=2ahUKEwifw-frmtTeAhXrct8KHVXHBEcQFjAhegQIBxAB&usg=AOvVaw1uVXop8rGo6lZDWKUZli9JAnd learned that he wasn't recognizing the vegetables I've been giving him as food. After I learned I shredded up some carrot 🥕 and I finally saw him eat for the first time! 🤗 I'm so relieved. Does anyone have an idea for a name for him? I still haven't decided on one yet
