I’ve been gone for a few days and when I came back my pet snails were sleeping near each other, and then like 10 minutes later they were on top each other (climbing on each other).
I decided to separate them (I have 5 snails in total, and 3 of them were the ones climbing on each other). A few minutes later they started climbing on each other again.
Is this normal? Do you know what they are doing? Could this hurt the one of the snail?

Snails tend to act like they're oblivious of one another. This is why you shouldn't keep really big snails with really small snails, the big snails will crawl over the little snails without even knowing they're doing it (The size difference in my profile pic is just about the most I'm comfortable with). I don't really think there's much of a reason at all for this behavior. It may be due to the fact that snails like to group together, but my observation is that they crawl on each other because they're just concerned with getting where they want to go and they seem oblivious of the other snail they're crawling on.

This is totally normal. I've seen my snails use each other as a handy foothold for pulling themselves out of the food dish with minimal effort before now It's really not anything to worry about, unless you have snails with a big size difference. I know from your other thread that you have a baby with adults. Is baby's shell opaque? If so, then the climbing on each other shouldn't be a problem, even for the little one.
