I thought I would ask the nice folks here too, ive made my post on snails2die4 and waiting for a reply. At work today I discovered a deposit of brig snail eggs, same species as the babys I adopted. I only work there once a week, so I have no idea how long they have been there, but they certainly wern't there last week so at the MOST they are 6 or 7 days old. In theory they had the perfect hatching enviroment (aside the hungry goldfish below them) because it was a glass lid that kept in the humidity very well. Are they suposed to be a little hard? I have never seen/touched brig eggs before, so im worried they've somehow hardened up and I am too late saving them. At work I pulled them and made a little temporary nursery with a betta bowl, some water from the aquarium, a little boat for them to sit on above the water, and a plastic fish bag rubber banded over the lid to keep in the humidity (appeared to work quite well) Right now I have a simular nursey set up using my own aquariums water, a little lid as a boat, and a plastic bag over the top to keep in the humidity. Im going to mist them twice a day as well. The best I can do for the moment anyway! Before I get more carried away then I already have, can anyone tell me if they are alright? Im such a sucker for cute little eggies, I hope im not too late!

Thank you Paul!...problem is, I still can't tell. I THINK they are ok, but these are the only pictures showing Pomacea bridgesii eggies: Mine aren't THAT dry...that's a good sign Hmm...mine looks simular to that. Maybe they are ok! ;D I guess what concerns me is how hard they feel, it seems unusual to me I supose, you would think hardness=dried up or dead. I didn't need to do much to remove it, it just popped off. Hmmm

The eggs pictured in the last post are hatching. The clutches will go like that when they are close to hatching. Hi, by the way! (yes, it's me )

Dont worry too much about the dryness, alot of my brids lay eggs inside the aluminium hood ontop of my 48inch and they hatch just fine without any special attention. Most important thing being to watch they dont become emeresed or sat in water.
Hatchery looks fine.

That's the fun part! I have NO clue! They could be purple, blue, white, yellow, brown, olive green...I might get all one colour, or a few, heck I wonder if I will get all different colours! It's so exiting! All I can tell you is the colours of the possible parents, as just mentioned.
