I have a garden snail in my care and I would like to work out a source of protein that I could give him to supplement his nutrition. I have read that some feed their snails spirulina fish flakes - can anyone offer any guidance on this? I am based in New Zealand, so the options are a little limited. I found the following if anyone could advise on this: ibb.co/4ZhVMHhibb.co/W3bmztqOr would I be best to just purchase organic Spirulina powder (100% spirulina, no additives) and sprinkle a little each week over his regular food? Thank you!

For protein, most people use regular soaked fish flakes (spirulina is nice if you want to include it but not necessary and can be expensive), cooked egg yolk, soaked cat/dog biscuits (my snails love these), raw unflavoured nuts like peanuts or cashews, or sometimes a small amount of meat if the snails will eat it.

Thanks for your advice, I really appreciate it! I purchased 100% spirulina powder to sprinkle on the snail's food, and I thought I would just check that the nutritional profile is safe? I noticed that the Sodium is 700mg/100g. Link to nutritional information: ibb.co/PFbDTK9Thanks again!
