So I have been keeping many different snails for years now, but never once slugs. It's the usual story. My friend's girlfriend found a mushroom, and discovered a little slug as she was preparing it for cooking. I quickly said I'll take him, and after a quick check that he didn't look like any predator slugs I know of, I put him in with the wild caught Arianta arbustorum for now. A bit of studying later I was sure he is a young Arion fuscus (also known as Arion subfuscus and Limax subfuscus), actually the most common slug in Finland - funny I never figured it out before, then again I haven't been as interested in slugs as I have been in snails. He is very cute with his tiny face and black eye stalks, and he has funny little antics. I will post photos

He's really sweet. I wonder if he's a fully grown slug.

counterbalance, assuming I got the species right, he should grow twice this big.
