My snail Lennart's mantle has always been right at the edge of the shell, and even protruded just ever so slightly, just like my other snail Egg. However a couple days ago I noticed that it has gone in slightly, which isn't normal for him. This was when I was going to sleep, and he was waking up, so I observed him for a couple of minutes and the mantle came to the edge where it should sit. However, today I noticed that the mantle on his anus side is sitting more inside his shell, even more so than the night I had first observed this anomaly. It's strange too, because only one side is sitting inside the shell, and the other is sitting in its normal position. I also believe he is a Roman snail, however his shell is completely white, and from what I've seen and read they don't really have white shells.
The first three images are of Lennart, the last one is of Egg, for comparison to how it usually looks.

They have an enclosure of 31x21x21 cm, they have a cuttlefish bone, and they get a varied died, including, but not limited to; carrots, bell pepper, lettuce, apple, peach, potato, fish flakes once a week and occasional cucumber as a "good boy treat."
Lennart and Egg had tried to mate a couple times last week, and if they were successful, could this be a sign of success, or is this early signs of deep retraction syndrome, or is this normal for a snail?
Today Lennart bubbled up a bit when I bathed him to get some accumulated dirt and gunk off of him; he has never done this before.
He doesn't sleep all the way into his shell, he sleeps with his foot still sticking out, and sometimes (like now) his face out, so (i think) he is comfortable with his environment and doesn't have deep retraction syndrome (as of yet?).
If you need any more information I am very happy to tell you, I just want to know what's going on with Lennart.
