Hi, I own one retic but I really want another snail, maybe a tiger snail, if I bought another I would have to keep it in a different tank to stop them breeding but I was wondering if you kept a retic and tiger together how often would you have to check for eggs?

I'd check every week, if I were you. I usually clean my tank weekly so I do a check at the same time.

Ok thanks, can I give a tip you should not clean out the tank often at all, snails need the right amount of bacteria to stay healthy and with you cleaning the tank out that much they could get sick.

Also I wanted to know from people who keep retics and tigers together, but thanks for the tip I actually keep wild snails too as well as my Giant African Land Snail.

When I say clean, I usually just remove visible poo/food, turn over the substrate so it airs out and wipe the tank/decorations with water. So they still have all their bacteria. But thank you anyway!

Retics and tigers can't breed successfully so keeping them together shouldn't be a problem in terms of eggs.
