I brought home 4 leapoard slugs last weekend, just to observe for a few days. I realeased them into the garden, but they seem to have blessed me with 2 batches of eggs before leaving. Question is, should I bury the eggs in the garden, or is it best to hatch them and then release them in the spring. Thoughts and opinions appreciated

burying them in the garden now after being laid in a warm house may kill them, if you are prepared to hatch and raise them then i would do so, if not them bury them outside (it can't be any worse than freezing)

yes, i figured it would probably kill the eggs to put them outside but thought i would ask anyway. So, how does one go about hatching them? Same as snail eggs?

I kept a leopard slug once - the eggs hatched at room temperature fine - the slug was kept on soil and moist tissue paper and I left the eggs on this. I released the babies soon after hatching - they like to munch on each other!

Thanks for that goose they are at room temp, in a vented tub in coir, with a small layer of coir on top, pretty much how the parents left them. so that sounds ok? Ho long do they take to hatch?

Gosh it was quite a while ago - when I was a teen - I kept all sorts of creepy crawlies! I think it was 8-10 days - how you are keeping the eggs sounds absolutely fine - good luck with them!
