i have a tropical fish tank turned into a home for my snails. its measurments are L= 91cm H=37cm D= 31cm In this tank i have 4 fulica which are shell lengths 12,10,9,6 cm and also my 2 marginata which are both 6 cm in shell length. I am soon recieveing 2 tigers and quiet a few immaculata. how can u work out what space each snails needs? also how do you know what snails can live together? or basically what snails can live together?

well at the moment all the smaller ones are fine and happy and always seem on the go (they have their own little mob style going as they seem to like hitching rides on the larger ones)
the two larger fulica like to bury them selfs alot and are less active

oh, also... i wouldn't reccomend keeping immacs with other snails, as a few people have had problems with them rasping other snails shells (biting).

well at the moment i know im getting roughly 10 immacs and it looks like i may be going to a shop in wickford which sells second hand glass fish tanks very cheap seeing as most have some or slight damage to them ill just have to get a few people to dig up there ivy plants for me lol to make it look nice.
I've already selected a warm area in my bedroom for the new tank and getting excited already.
the other snails are in my front room they are doing well and the temp all ways goes between 21-24 degrees and i mist twice everyday and ive finally managed to stop my daughter from cutting up the snails food so that its more realistic for them lol
im like a big kid in a sweet factory my daughter is the same.

Corr you're going to need more than one more tank for the snails you're getting. A 3ft tank is only big enough really for say 4 margies (depending on how deep/wide it is). Then you've got 10 immacs, which have to be kept alone - what size tank are you getting for them? And then you've got the tigers and fulicas. The fulicas would probably prefer their own tank as they need different conditions.
A cheaper alternative is plastic storage tubs, but even then you'd have to get two of the giant one's Lisa had just for the immacs depending on how big they are now, and how long you intend to keep them.
Believe me, it's very easy to buy all these baby/juvenile snails and have them grow and take over your house. It's hard to imagine how much spae they need as adults, and if you intend on keeping them for yourself you're going to need a larger amount of housing for the ones you have.
