Hi there! Newbie here ☺️
I rehomed 3 African Land Snails last Friday who are around 3. The previous owner told me that their shells turn white where they are growing so the shell turns white and dies and new shell will come in it’s place. From things I have read I am concerned that this isn’t the case. Please could anyone advise?
Unsure how to add pictures.....
Appreciate any feedback

Yeah, that doesn't sound right. 3-year-old African Land Snails don't grow in size anymore. My snails' old shell growth only turns white (especially when dry) because they suffered from calsium deficiency growing up before they came to me.

Yeah, this sounds false to me too. I don't know of any snails who replace their shell with a new one. They can repair their shells if they're damaged, but they can't shed them.
