Hi, im new to the forums I just bought two small GALS from ebay. They arrived today, in a lil petridish with lettuce etc. They are very little, two cm tops, and since the arrived they havent moved noticably. And one of their shells is broken. I have provided fresh lettuce and some crushed egg shell. What could be wrong? and what more should i do. Are they dead?

They probably got cold in the post. Try bathing them in lukewarm water then put them in a tub of damp substrate (moss/coir/compost) in a comfortably warm room. It may take a few hours for them to come round. Slight shell damage will heal if they are given calcium e.g. cuttlefish. If the snails still do not move and start to smell bad, they may be dead, but don't give up too quickly!

What they need more than anything is warmth, put them in a little tub with some moss and put the tub somewhere nice and warm. They shouldn't really have been posted at this time of year it is far too cold especially for tiny babies!!!!!!! Val
