This is just a simple question I've been thinking about and researching but haven't gotten a proper answer to... do snails have morphs? Similarly to snakes in the reptile hobby, do snails have mutations that change their colour and pattern? More specifically, african land snails. If they do, can someone point me to a source where I can see what morphs exist?
Thanks!

Yeah! If I'm not mistaken about the definition of a morph, you can find quite a few for GALS. Take fulicas for example, they have like 4(?) very visually distinct colour variations in flesh and shell: This is a wildcolour fulica. They have a dark shell and flesh and are the normal colouration you'll find in their natural habitat. These are White Jade fulicas. They have albino flesh but a dark shell. This is a rodatzi fulica. They have dark flesh but an albino yellowish shell. And this is a jadatzi fulica. It is fully albino. You might find other variations but they generally will all be one of these.

Hi! As Suspiciousbagel said, yes I believe giant African land snails have “morphs.” I don’t believe smaller snails do though. Well they could but, so little research is done about smaller snails species that no one would know I guess. Not a ton of people breed them either. There is a snail rescue, Wanderlust snail rescue, they call their snails by different almost like “breeds”. Of course they are all the same species, but they call them different names depending on color and such. Interesting question though!
