Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well! I have a rather special event coming up, and I wanted to find some snails I could buy within my state. I usually am the one getting snails adopt/sold, so I thought it would be nice to buy some for a change. Of course that is very difficult, and I have had no luck of finding any sellers in TN. But, I scrolled upon some, supposedly, Bulimulus guadalupensis on Ebay. And this got me curious, as it says that they are not plant feeding snails and are legal to ship across state lines, but I wondered if that was still the case. Does anyone know anything about these snails? Are they keepable? Can they still be shipped across state lines? I haven't looked much into tree snails, as they aren't common in the US, from what I know. I haven't really considered actually keeping them, just something I am curious about.

Unfortunately, I believe all land snail and tree snail species are illegal to ship across state lines. I would suggest going to a park and looking under logs and leaf litter to find snails.

Looking for them is the best alternative when you want pet snails, because of the laws. However, I found out that species I was looking for is not regulated in the US, so they’re completely safe to buy. You can find more info about what snails are legal/illegal to ship, here petsnails.proboards.com/thread/16277/shipping-snails-slugs-legal-info
