Heya so I have two yellow banded snail and one mystery slug (which I'm pretty sure is just a common brown garden slug). I've tried to get the snails a tank with real plants multiple times but to no avail. I can't afford to get them a whole new setup but I do have my slug's terrarium. The slug terrarium has only a single slug and is a circular 30 cm * 30 cm circular terrarium with a height of about 19cm. My slug terrarium has a thriving assortment of plants and seems to retain humidity much better than my snail tank. My question is whether or not I can keep my two snails with my slug? I am almost certain my slug is not the carnivorous type as I house it with a small amount of pill pugs (my cleaning crew), so that should not be a problem. Nonetheless would there be any problems with me putting the two snails in with the slug? I'd rather they have a nice habitat with my slug than have to constantly keep them in a terrarium that doesn't seem to want to work.

Hello Ila! Sorry to hear you're struggling with your snail's setup. If you're positive it's not a strictly carnivorous/predatory species, it should be alright to house the snails and slug together, but I'm not sure if a slug's reluctance to eat the pillbugs is an indication that they won't go for the snails so I'd suggest you just keep an eye on how they do together and be prepared to separate them if anything is off. And for future record, if you add any more snails/slugs to that enclosure don't let the slugs outnumber the snails, as they're more likely to go for the snails than vice versa, if that makes sense.
good luck!

Thank you for the help! I an pretty sure it's not a carnivorous slug as the few times I have tried to feed it meat it has been less interested in the food than when I give it various vegetables or fruit (though I don't use fruit often as they attract fruit flies rapidly). I think I'll be sticking with the snails being with the slug as I have seen a drastic increase in their activity since I put them into the slug setup which has better stats in general. I'll go ahead and transfer the pillbugs from the slug's old tanks in with the current tank as well . Again thanks for the help!
