I have some small slugs living in my GALS terarium, are they good as clean up crew or should I try to get rid of them?

You should get rid of them, they cannot safely cohabitate as slug slime is different to snail slime and an irritant to snails. Also I have heard of slugs trying to or eating snails when in the same tank.

I'm not too sure, as I don't keep slugs nor know much about them personally. Sorry!

Yes! You can cohab different slug species. It does depend on the species though. I have kept Lehmannia valentiana and Philomycus carolinianus together, as well as some other species, and it worked out well. However, like with most animals, just be careful of the bigger slugs eating the smaller slugs. Especially with those species, like Limax maximus, who are known for eating other slugs. If there are some species you'd like to keep together, you can verify with someone here and see if it is ok!

Its all just random ones from outside so they seem to be around similar sizes so should be okay

Ok! Then they should be perfectly fine together!
