Hey all. I just need a bit of advice of a snail veteran cause I have no idea about my snails! I got 6 from the farm I work at and im pretty sure they're fulica, cause they're the most common. Anyway, I've had them for about 3 months and they're doing well. They're getting pretty big, but some are staying small. Is this just cause they're not as greedy as the others? Also, when are they gonna start laying, cause I wanna be prepared to start checking for eggs cause I really dont want a plauge of snails on my hands. Finally, can snails hear? Cause I'm pretty sure my biggest one likes listening to Rise Against. Just a thought.

With snails it's sometimes as it is with humans, some get big while others stay small.Nothing to worry about. They can start laying when they are about 6 months,so I don't know how big yours are but it wouldn't hurt to start checking already. Snails can't hear like other animals but they can feel vibrations and will react to that.(maybe your biggest likes the rhythm.......)

Thanks mate. BTW, what do the eggs look like and where am I gonna find them. With they be in the substrate, on the walls? Also, the biggest was pretty close to the speakers, and the song was kinda heavy on the bass. I guess I just like the idea of havin' a punk rock snail.
