I couldnt say anything mega specific, but generally when snails throth (aspersa primarily) its due to a reaction of either shock (drop an aspersa and it will throw up bubbles as a defense) a reaction to chemical or poison (like salt or slug pellats) or as a way of sealing itself to a surface. The last wouldnt be an option for megas I'd imagine, so it could have taken a tumble or come in contact with something it shouldnt have like salt or perhaps something on the food?

It could just be a reaction to a fall? There isnt a huge amount you can do in either case. Personally I would give it a rinse under the tap (just to assure it wasnt something its come in contact with, to wash any unwanted substance off) then leave it until this evening and see how it goes.

I hope yours will be okay.
One of mine that I received in the second time retracted since day 1 I got him, and with constanstly warm bath, I managed to get him out everyday but I did not think he was eating at all. At the end I just left him 'cos he looked so skiny and I did not want to wake him up to get him out just to please me but waste his energy.
I think since these Megas are WC, it might be the age too?

could have possibly been a fall but i cant think of how he hurt himself as substrate must be 3inches deep ive just cleaned him up and got him moving again only to see him slowly go back in shell and froth again, i decided to put him in seperate tank now so i can keep eye on him better Felix mine have been 'fairly' active since day one and will eat well..............i cant figure it out i know for a fact nothing has been put in tank as its too high for the kids to reach without climbing ive checked all tank mates and they are fine the froth looks like if you get a soapy spnge and sqeeze it and it dont seem to disolve when touched fingers crossed hes gonna make it

When I first kept megas last year my first two that died were frothy, and theyre shells upside down when I found them, they both seemed ok before that though, I dont know what caused it.

The smaller one of my Mega's did this too. He was retracted almost form day one and like ffelix I wasa 'waking# him up every day. I didn't notice him eating and about three weeks ago he died. He just retracted all the time and wasn't very active. Again like felix I put it down to them being WC and not knowing their ages. Even though this was the smaller one that's not to say he wasn't older than the other one is it?? Anyay I have only the one now and he's a very happy bunny.
