Ty <3 Hi! first of all, im so sorry you lost your snail. now, i cant help to much yet, but if you shared some info i might be able to. 1: What size and species is your snail? 2: Do you own any other pets? also, check drawers, dark areas, and cabinets. thats where they would most likely hide.

Hi, I'm so sorry to hear your snail escaped. DOn't feel bad- it was an easy mistake to make (I've left tanks open by accident before) and you were just unlucky the snail happened to leave when you did. Snails can live weeks or even months outside a proper enclosure if they start hibernating so there's no reason to give up hope yet; you have a good chance of finding them! To add to snailperson's suggestions- - Check particularly under furniture, snails like shade so will seek out the underside of tables, chairs etc - Leave out food like lettuce or anything else your snail enjoys. Put plates of it in accessible places like the floor and hopefully your snail will come feed on it. - Keep the room they escaped into completely closed. Keep any other pets you have out so they don't eat and/or kill it. - Turn all lights off and use a torch to check for slime trails- they will glow if you shine light on them. If you find any they may lead to wherever your snail is hiding.
I wish you the best of luck in finding them! Let us know if you do!
