I have a giant african land snail (a runt) who's somewhere between 1-3 years old. For the past I'd say two weeks ish, he's not been eating (as far as I can tell) and I went on holiday for just over a week (which I've done before and he's always been fine) and when I got back he was in the exact same place as when I left for my holiday (he was in a plant pot in his tank), and he was sealed up/retracted in his shell. He has mites at the moment, but he's always had them on and off since I got him so that probably isn't the problem. I was cleaning out old food/bedding from his tank (I know you aren't meant to change the bedding but it had gone really filthy since I was away) and I put him in a bucket and sprayed some water on him, he did come out of his shell then and he turned his body around (not his shell though and it took him a pretty long time) but wouldn't eat the lettuce I gave him despite him having not eaten for like 12 days. What should I do?
