Hi! We have a snail who was once a perfect specimen of a snail. Lately, a couple things have been happening. Her two snail siblings died over the holidays, and she's been estivated almost the whole time since, even though we put out food for her and keep the tank sprayed. Her shell is getting pretty white, so it may just be age. Every now and again, she'll come out and crawl around, but she doesn't go far, and she barely eats.
I'd love to get more snails, but I don't know if that's a good idea. Would my current snail get even sadder? Would it help cheer her up? Would it literally make no difference? Would love some advice.

hi, i'm sorry to hear that Was she in good health while estivating? do you give her calcium? maybe the white shell is due to that. Or maybe the humidity isn't right? I would suggest giving her a sugar or green tea (no caffeine) bath, maybe she could use the energy. I think maybe getting another (1) snail is not a bad idea, but i would check first and try to rule out that she is sick, since we don't want another snail to get sick. Having an extra snail always seems to cheer up lonely snails, so that's why i think it may work, do quarantine the new snail tho! can i ask which species it is? i only have experience with garden snails
