Hi, I have just received two golden apple snails. I have had to have them delivered to my work as I would not have got home in time to sign for them at the post office.
NOW the question is.. do I leave them with the bit of water they have in the pot or shall I emerse them?.
Thanks in advance.

I presume you have fully matured aquarium set up for them ready at home? If so I would leave them in the packaging they are in until you get home. You will need to float them in the aquarium in their container to equalise the temperature before you introduce them so they don't get too much of a shock. I presume by adding more water to them at work you mean tap water - as I am sure you are aware if you have researched, this will need a water conditioner added to it as the chemicals in our tap water are harmful to aquatic life.

Hi.
Yes I do have a mature aquarium. I have a water conditioner at work with me as I post fish, so I have some at work before I seal the bag for shipping. I just wanted to make sure that they would be ok in their current package. I believed that when they were posted they would have water with them. thank you for answering quickly.

They will be just fine until you get home, they are a pest in their native countries due to the fact they are able to survive for long periods without being immersed in water, they can travel out into fields and munch crops. They are amazing, have fun with them ;D Much faster than land snails, mine used to zip around the tank at speed!
