Found some great big logs today in a mates back garden, brought them home, gave them a good wash and put them in the tank with my two Fucilas, they had a good look at them then promptly slimed down and started eating them and still haven't stopped! they seem really quite happy and are striping one log with gusto, should they be eating wood?

My aspersa eat the algae growing on the 2 dead sticks I put in her tank. she eats a little bit of the bark in the process, but it's the algae she's going after. The wood itself seems untouched.
I guess it depends on what kind of wood the logs are. Some trees have noxious resins (like pines, etc) that probably wouldn't be good for a snail to ingest.

Thanks, i'll try and find out what the wood is, its already been striped of bark, so its not anything on the bark that they are interested in, very odd...
