Hey there, just wondered if anyone could shed any light on this. I bought an adult tiger a few weeks back thats been somewhat inactive, the past few days hes not coming out of his shell at all and unfortunatly pretty much looks like hes on his way out (slightly smelling also) He's still moving slightly when touched however he has gone so far back into his shell and almost looks like he's swelled up. Just wondered if anyone else has come across this at all? Thanks Laura

You didn't say if this tiger is a rescue, but all tigers can be VERY sensitive to change particularly rescued ones and I have had quite a few die on me unfortunately.

Thanks for the reply, its not a rescue one.
I bought it from natural world experiance along with another young one which is doing ok (a little inactive to say the least but alive) I've bought from there in the past and the snails have been very heathly and active.
Just had another check on the large tiger...definatly has gone now unfortunatly.
Ive not come acrross this before. Theyre in a tank with a few other tigers and a margie so hopefully if this was some sort of an infection it wont of spread...
Thanks
Laura

The ones from the natural world experience are all wild caught, so there is no telling how old they are. It may have died of old age. I'm sorry for your loss, it is never easy when a pet dies.
