i was letting my snails play in the rain and my older brother thought it would be funny to poor salt on her. i washed her off as well as i could but i am still worried, what does salt exactly do to a snail?

salt drys snails out, but if she was washed off thoroughly she should be fine, bathe her regularly for a couple of days and give her lots of lettuce and cucumber. What species is she ? What did u do to your bro? Hope shes ok.

i am still bathing her constantly. i always feed her lettuce because she loves it. i have'nt tried cucumber, so thanks for that tip. her species is a brown garden snail and her name is lilly. my mom was more mad at my brother because she knows how protective i am about my snails. she is perking up and eating regularly, so hopefully will be fine. what does cucumber do to a snails that has had salt poured on them?

Snails love cucumber, whether they've had salt poured on them or not. It's one of their favorites. If she eats well, she'll have a better chance of recovering properly.
