I have bought a new viv 60x45x45cm. I have a heat mat that covers about half the back, and the tank isn't getting warm enough. I have a heat mat that would cover the whole of the back but I don't know if it would be wise to use it. I know you are supposed to have a gradient but with the depth being 45 would'nt there be a gradient width ways anyway?
Thanks!

I think you can try and use it,if it gets too hot(which I doubt)you can always remove it again. The viv seems big enough to be able to handle a big heatmat.
