i was just thinking wouldn't it be good if everyone uploaded their favourite snail pics so everyone can take a vote as to which 12 are the best and then we could make a snail calendar that members of the forum could buy.The money made could pay back expenditure of making it in the first place and the rest of the money could go towards the upkeep of the site or rescuing some of the snails at brixton. Also there is the added bonus that our snailies will be famous ;D and we get a cute snail calendar for the new year. . What does everyone think?

cool i was worried everyone would think it was dumb. I reckon all we need now is to find a member who is creative who would be able to make the calendar and i should maybe start a calendar pictures thread in the pictures section just incase the idea really takes off so people can start submitting their best pictures. Also i dont know how to do this but one of you might, we have to start a poll so people can vote for their twelve best pictures but we would have to get a move on not long now til new year.I will start the pictures thread now so if anyone has got any cute snail pictures put them there.

maybe use the photos from the photo competition? That's a really good idea - might be worth waiting on to see if the photo comps get going again, and then after 12 of them, use the winning pics as calendar pics? After all - they've already been voted for, and it'd give more time for whoever was planning on arranging it all to find someone who'll make the actual calendar.
