My roots are showing, I've not lost any weight since I promised I would, and I dont even know if I can stand long enough to get in the bloody shower. Going to get a. results of x-rays and b. a big telling off for stopping my meds without medical advice ;D I'm finding Pantera full blast good therapy....

Ah Sam, I cant use that as an excuse as had the whole kit and caboodle removed the day before my 27th birthday Most weight I've lost in one go too LOL I've moved on to Trivium now, music wise. Nice idea on the black thing, I used to always wear black, for some reason recently over the last few weeks I've not. Time for a wardrobe change methinks.

Thanks Tigs, and everyone. Just got triplets up for their nap and thought I'd update. Doc completely understood about giving up the other meds. As the tramadol isn't working as it is, he's putting me on a slow release version that they can increase with to suit over time - starting me off at a similar dose to the tramadol I'm taking, then see how it goes. With it being only twice a day and slow release, it should mean I wont get those couple of hours of pain before I can take another dose, if you get me - it'll keep on top of it all the time. Side effects being drowsiness but it's unlikely to be too bad for me as I'm technically already on it. He says it's called oxycontin, I've looked it up and it says it's a different drug to tramadol but perhaps it's just a brand name thing? Dunno. Similar to morphine anyway - so should help. Anyhoo, that's it. He didn't have the report from my x-rays on him, so he's going to chase it up and write to me with the results. He asked what I wanted to know from it - and I said I want to know if there's anything underlying other than just the SPD, cos if there's arthritis or something as my physios suspected, we can try and treat that. Anyhooooooo....thanks for the support - I have to get my new meds in a week from my GP as he couldn't prescribe them himself. Fingers crossed they wont make me a zombie again, but I might just get to sleep before 4am for once

if there's arthritis or something as my physios suspected, we can try and treat that. You'll join a whole new drug club if you've got that too lol. None of mine make me drowsy though so you shouldn't have to worry about that. Just in case more drugs wasn't something you wanted to hear, I'll try and make it funny with bad humor! Huzzah! ..... I'll make you a badge and hat if you join Glad it went ok, goodluck with the new meds.

Today I'd happily take more drugs. If it wouldn't kill me I'd have hit the shops for vodka by now. I asked him if I could have my old anti-inflammatories (arthrotek) back too but he said no
