hi everyone has anyone noticed post taking longer to get here since december hit? i thought the postal delay would ok kicked in around next week nearer christmas

Yep - if you need to post snails/livestock make sure you send next day delivery because we ordered two fish off Ebay the other week and they were sent out first class recorded, and yet didn't arrive for 5 days! They weren't lost, just delayed. They were nearly frozen, but alive thanks to their breathing fish bag and heat pack (it'll have kept them warm that bit longer but not the whole time), luckily they made it and have settled in well The seller will now not post out unless it's SNDD.

Ok explain this one....especially at this time of year...I'm now getting second class items arrive before 1st class items!!
At first I thought it would be the distance, but no an item sent to scotland (not a live snail I hasten to add) second class has arrived before a first class item (exact same item) sent to the next town over from me, both posted at the same time from the same post office!!!
Our mail system is very strange at times.
