Well done.
Don't know if the course has changed in the last few years but when I did mine there was loads of theory work to do but they didn't skimp on the practical either so it was good lol.

I didnt have to buy any books on the course when I went a few years ago, the college provided all the textbooks.

took a tour round my new animal unit yesterday, not as neat and organised as Moreton morrell but thye are knocking the place down next year and rebuilding it, but omg their reptile room has waay better critters than MM we're talking 2 boscs, 1 monitor lizard measuring 4 foot!!!! a 14 and 15 foot pythons, chameleons, loads of tortoises including 4 huge ones, a blue tongued sink! and then the usual geckos, beardies, euromastix (or however you spell that) and smaller snakes. They also got parrots including a cockatoo, african greys and a macaw and a rabbit kingdom which is better. and best of all, all their animals are rescues, from places like heathrow airport, the parrots and chamelons amogst those, taped up inside PVC tubing in someones suitcases :-( but at least they are well now :-)
Ok, i'll shut up now......
