Same here - get tonnes of these every day, either from "Paypal" imposters or bank imposters - often from banks I don't even have an account with. Paypal always verify it's them contacting you by using part of your card number in the email.

I get hundreds of these a week, literally. Not just Paypal though, banks too. The way to check is that if your bank contacts you, it'll use your name - not "Dear Customer" or "Dear Account Holder". Anyone who doesn't use your name is a scam, and delete. Dont reply, it only confirms that your email is active and you'll get ten times more spam

same crap, different company.
this is phishing and the scary thing is thousands of folk fall for it every week. recently I have been getting the one that says "we have $25 million waiting to be transferred to your account please send us your account number etc to have the fund transferred".
again its scary that some folk think they are about to get $25 million for nothing, just shows the gullability are perhaps greed of some people"
but if folk didn't fall for it they wouldn't keep sending them.......

Not with incredimail premium, it gives them an authentic looking returned email, saying undelivered.

I used to get inundated with the stuff, but get very few now since I started bouncing everything that was spam. normally the rule is don't reply to anything and let them know it's a valid address but if it works for you then fair enough (though it doesn't make sense )

What I did notice, is that alot of spam came from the e-mail address that I use here, which isn't my hotmail, and it's the only place I have used it is here and at bug nation. Must be robots trawling the boards and collecting addresses.

Gmail catches 99.9% of them but the number is rising. damm proboard

Hahahaha @ Felix. I wont say what sprang to mind as I'm a filthy bog-mouth. My latest ones other than the Ebay and bank ones are these stupid ones offering prescriptions. Thing is, they come to my home account, which isn't usually what I hand out. I've got 13 of them so far today. There'll be another 5 or so by the morning, no doubt I wish I had incredimail premium now - far too skint though *lol*

Lol @ the enlargement emails. I've been getting them too. Spammers really need to find a way of checking who they're spamming! I've been getting those med ones too. I'm on enough meds already thankyou!! lol I get spoof ones from ebay, paypal and nationwide now. All 3 sites tell you they wont ask for details in an email You're lucky Moracai, we've only got bog standard incredimail and the bouncing emails didn't work with me. I used to do it but then I started getting double the amount of spam so I stopped and it went back to "normal" lol I've also had most the spam to emails that have been shown on sites like this. I've hidden it on here and other forums now but there's still the one that shows for the wanted/owned list *Mumbles on* Bloody spam. I've started getting ones about banks in nigeria and rubbish too
