We currently have 2 fulicas; Larry (Reuben likes to call him Larry the loner, I tend to think of him as Lazy Larry!) and then we have Shelley, (obvious really!).
Our other pet names have included:
Popcorn & Peanuts - Milksnakes Sally & Stan - Leopard Geckos Ganja & Lightening - Iguanas Speedy & Slippery - Cornsnakes Blackie (anerthyristic) - Cornsnake Snowy (albino) - Cornsnake Red (Amelanistic) - Cornsnake G'kar & Delenn - Boas Mimi & Minty - Madagascar Day Geckos Teddy & Freddy - Ferrets Barney, Sooty & Sweep - Rats Rosie, Cookie (albino) & Snowy (albino) - Syrian Hamsters
I had give up the reptiles when the kids came along ... not enough space for both! (at the time...!) Kinda funny looking back, I didn't think I had kept that many lol!

My young fulicas are called Shiloh and Ianto. Shiloh was named because he squeaked like a girl and buried himself when they arrived, Ianto because I liked Torchwood. The three baby Jades are Gwilo (chinese for white ghost) Spook and Luna. I'm pondering names for my next ones already!

I don't always name my snails, but when I do, I give them double names; one male and one female. Like Christopher Yvonne or May-Alexander.

I've had three snails. Parry was a tiny little Galba Truncatula, and I had a small juvenile snail of unknown species named Osiris, and I have my current Cepaea Hortensis named Isis.

That's an interesting double-name idea, tsrebel. I might try that.

I've named two of my snails so far. Little mystery slug got named Sluggy, because that's what I always called him. And the aspersa that was a baby when I got him is now called... Baby, lol. Still got three to name, but I will take my time with that and see what I call them the most often. Based on their personalities or other attributes.

I had a baby snail I referred to as Junior, intending to rename him, but it stuck for his whole life.
