YAY!!!! Woke up this morning, put the comp on to start updates etc, picked the tank up to have a look and thought huh?! Half an egg was gone and then I realised there was a bubba there!!! lol ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D he came out quite quickly thanks to mums warm hands lol and he's now exploring his own little tank. He still has his crash helmet on though rofl. I guess he's not hungry at the mo for egg shell! It's the latest in snail wear don't you know?! Don't I look great in it? As you can see he turned himself round in the shell so he could move easily with it on lol. He's now on the front of his tank looking at me rofl. I'll give him some cucumber in a bit. One of the other eggs looks really dark in one spot, so I'm hoping there might be another bubba to show soon!! YYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY lol

WOW! congrats, that is the cutest thing ever, i haven't seen a normal coloured baby margie in persn before as mine have all been semi albino, but that is adorable ;D ;D The dark spot on your other egg certainly sounds like another ready to hatch, but don't fret if it still hasn't hacth in a few days, some take longer How are you keeping him?? oh also, don't worry if he doesn't touch any food for a week or two, they can lie of the yolk for weeks, some eat straight away, some don't, and they like to eat their eggs shells so keep it in with him Yay! good luck with him and clean him out regularly, they are very sensitive :-)

Thanks guys ;D He's got a grape and some lettuce instead as we're out of cucumber Nope wont fret, they're not even 4 weeks old yet! lol I can wait ;D He's on a cm of coir with about 2cm of moss on top of it. I couldn't find my capillary matting, but when I do I'll put that in with the moss instead. It'll make it easier to clean then. Yaaaayyy bubba lol. *So hyper*

Rofl. I thought you were full margie boy Thanks guys, he's sooooooo adorable lol. Even if the others don't hatch I'll be happy. As long as this lil guy carries on going that is! He's been on the roof of the tank for ages now, it's like he's scared to move now he's got up there rofl. He's deffo not lazy like his daddy though! He was bombing round the tank before he went upwards lol. I've just found the matting and put him on that with the moss. Easy clean now. ;D One of the other eggs has some lines on it, I don't know if they're really faint cracks or not, but they weren't there yesterday!

Arrr, well done Sian, he is absolutely adorable, one of my eggies have hatched it is soooo exciting!!! ;D You should enter the pic of him with his 'crash helmet' on into the next photo comp!! WOW! congrats, that is the cutest thing ever, i haven't seen a normal coloured baby margie in persn before as mine have all been semi albino, but that is adorable ;D ;D Can you have a semi-albino? Surely, they are either albino or non-albino but carrying the albino gene?

It's not him you have to worry about Arno, it's the rest of them!! Grrr. I'm so annoyed! I was checking the other eggs and sticking the thermometer back on and the damn tank fell 6 of the eggs fell out, the other 2 stayed in the tank but were moved from their places. 3 of the ones that fell broke!! BUT 1 has another baby in!! ;D I can't get pics at the moment as camera battery is dead, but will get some later. The baby is alive thank god, but I've left it in the egg tank for now. It seems to be eating shell at the moment so it might be out later today and I'll put it in with Frankie. As for the other two cracked ones, one was infertile and the other had done the same as most of the eggs in the last batch, started developing but then died. I've left one shell in with the new baby and one in with Frankie. Grrr I'm really annoyed I don't even know what happened, I was holding the tank one minute the next it was on the floor!! At least I have the other 5 eggs. I hope the moving didn't do too much. And at least I have 2 bubbas now! Thanks all, send me luck please lol I don't want to be an accident prone mummy!!

Arr, Good luck Sian! Don't blame urself, these things happen. If Frankie had already hatched then i'm sure this little guy/ girl would have also hatched within the next few days so hopefully he should have had enough time 'in the oven' I wouldn't worry about the ones that moved as i move mine all the time when cleaning etc (and just generally finicking *lol*) and mine have started to hatch. I don't think it would have done them any damage if the shell is intact. Fingers crossed for ya ;D

Thanks If they're all at the same stage as Frankie and new one then hopefully yeah they should be ok. I've put them all back the way up that they were and they didn't crack so that should help them too. Gives them more time to recover. The new one is eating it's way out! YAY. Frankie is still on the lid of the other tank with his helmet though lol. Maybe he likes the view!! I still can't believe I have 1 let alone 2!! Lol Here's a few pics of the 2nd ;D

Thanks you two ;D I am proud, at the moment it's still mainly shock though!! Mike that's freaky, my mum said the exact same thing a few minutes ago!! Rofl.
Val, the eggs are on capillary matting with moss on top, then I made some "dents" in the moss and just placed the eggs in/on them. They're not covered with anything. I spray whenever the moss feels too dry for how my margies like it, the one I've been using holds it pretty well though.
They've been sat on top of my fish tank, but raised off of it a bit with some random piece of thick plastic I found lol. I raised the tub up as putting it straight on the top of the tank made the temp go to 30+ so I raised it off the lid a bit and it's been at 28. I know Gabi said she's hatched eggs at 30, but I felt safer with it being at 28. When the tank light isn't on the temp is 24-26.
The hatched babies are being kept the same way for now (just a different tub) until they get a bit bigger and I move them to the shelves.
I've just put lil alien in with Frankie lol. Have also just taken some more pics, I'll post them in a minute ;D

Did you have a lid on the tub? or just open to the air? Sorry for so many questions.
